Arrived here on Toledo Bend for the weekend, the sun has set. I see the morning star "Venus" off the horizon in west above Texas here in the twilight. So bright, don't get a chance to see that at home due to all the trees. Tried to get a picture but it didn't work. Really enjoying looking at all the stars now. This here is excellent.
Some folks don't appreciate their surroundings I guess. I could care less if I catch a hundred fish in a day, or the the next few days. Or any fish fish at all.
The way I roll.
Also picked up some shiners for tomorrow since the bait stores will be closed. Had to make some room in the cabin refrigerator for them, scooted the turkey breast out of the way for them. The shiners like being cold.
"To each, his own" is correct Bruce. I'm somewhat different I guess. Didn't launch the boat today. Spent the day with Ann and the labs. My priorities are different then most I guess. Really enjoyed it. I'll launch the boat tomorrow. Sunset today:

To me, that's cool from the way go.
Worked my regular spots around the Cypress Bend area today. This is a shot of the old Pendleton Bridge pilings. The fish are there, but not biting:

Soon after I took that picture, saw a fella in trouble. Motor problems. Towed him from the area to his camp south of Negreet. Took a couple of hours - I drive slow, but safe:

That's cool and just fine for me. Was able to get some good sun on me. Needed it. Wasn't out to catch fish anyway. The way I roll.
