Thread: duck hunters?

Hey are any of you duck hunters and do you hunt in the Henderson/Spillway area?
I have hunted Wax Lake and the Sabine area in Hackberry, I am just trying to find some areas closer to home. I live in Prairieville and those are a haul!

Last year I made a few hunts in the Maurepas WMA, killed a few woodies but mainly local birds.
Im not asking for you honey hole, just some direction and areas to scout would be appreciated.

Mike i reckon duck hunters are more secretive than crappie fisherman

I can't help with the ducks, but you are right about duck hunters. I get a chuckle reading duck hunting forms. Them guys cut up.

I'm not a duck hunter, but, I have to admit I have heard a few booms while fishing Henderson.....

I use to hunt Sabine wildlife management area religiously from 1985 until 2005 (Rita). After Rita came through, it destroyed all of the areas I use to hunt. I can't even get back to where I use to hunt. That is when I got into the crappie fishing more. I have been wanting to get back into it though. I don't know of any areas close to where you are hunting, sorry.
