    Default The rain

and lots of it. Over 6" last night and this morning. River gauge on the road next to my driveway showing the amount of rain:

More rain on the way I'm afraid. Another 3 feet and it will be on the driveway about 1/4 mile down where it crosses a coulee. My house and out buildings are over 20 feet above that. Wonder how much more we'll get? Good thing we were at Toledo Bend last week inside of this week.

Another 4" this morning, didn't effect the river height much:

This is the low spot on the long driveway where the coulee crossing backs up from the river. Roughly a couple of thousand feet from the house, another couple thousand feet to the main road. Water at this spot is 1.62' deep (yes, that's accurate). Now you fells know why I track such things:

This only happens every couple of years when the rain comes down hard - and fast. Still wouldn't move from the country. Life is still good.

Did you fellas notice the face on the tree? The sign below says "I would turn back if I was you."

Randy I did notice the face right away and wondered if it was natural or man made.
