When I inquired about one a few months ago, the guys here convinced me not to keep it plugged in all the time even though the manufacturer says it's okay. So, I took their advice and plug it in a short while before I go, and again a short while when I get back. Just thought I'd let you know. If you do keep it plugged in all the time, I would at least have it on a GFCI circuit. I am glad it's working out for you.

I keep mine plugged in on a GFCI circuit at all times when the boat is parked....makes your battery life a lot longer to just plug it in when you return from fishing and do not unplug until you go again. Been doing this for years, no problems. Check the water in your batterys every six months.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Thanks good info, my batteries Everstart with a 2 yr replacement and they say maintenance free so I assume I never have to add distilled water.
