RETIRED LOUISIANA CRAPPIE HUNTER
That pic reminds me of rabbit hunting in Michigan, sans the snow!!

I bred that lemon male to the bluetick female in the corner and have 5 pups (4 females & 1 male). I bred the tri male with the tri female and have 3 pups (2 males and 1 female). All same born late April and ready to start! Once I get them started ill post a lil video of the pups developing their hunting skills.
Man that looks like fun
It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.

It really is a lot of fun. I like my dogs close and clean. Smooth running with complete team work. No over competitors or show boats. Each dog compliments the others abilities to produce a constant pressure for Mr Rabbit. May not be the fastest dogs but steady is the key that brings every rabbit back to the gun.
Nice looking dogs, thanks for the pictures. Had an old friend that use to hunt rabbits with dogs, he liked the slower dogs, said they didn't get shot like the faster ones would. Not the he ever shot any dogs but said the faster ones had a better chance of it b/c they were closer to the rabbits.

I had faster dogs at first but learned the joy of watching a quality pack of hounds work together in harmony.
I'll keep you in mind after deer season. I have a lease near BR. No one in the club has dogs, usually have to find some one with them to rabbit hunt.
