    Default If old McDonald...

Had an air conditioned cab tractor, he would still be in business. I spent 10 hours yesterday laying down hay. Put about 25 acres down. 4 mph takes a while to mow. I watched these cow birds eat every thing they could all day. And I mean everything. Grasshoppers, frogs, crickets and even rats. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374675556.726321.jpg

There was no one helping me this week so no use letting the good tractor sit up.

My old Ford tractor doesn't have an enclosed cab but I do like bushhogging and disking with it. There's just something satisfying about that sort of work.

Mine doesn't have a cab either, which is okay. Like Tbone says, there's something satisfying about that work.

Today, Rain, The enemy of hay! rained all night here in south Lafayette. Don't know if we will be able to do anything the rest of the week. The Kubota tractor has a cab, but no A/C. Acts like a hotbox unless you are clipping along pretty fast.

Man it has been forever since I have seen a meadowlark. The Hawks would like to see it too. I would love to have a tractor with a front End loader and bush Hog. We have 60 Acres of Family land here and no Tractor. Now the Purchase of one is out of the Question Having replaced Our small Trailer with a small Double wide Three years ago.

It's a necessity here we do about 200 round bales a year to feed about 60 head of cattle. We only use about 30 squares so we just buy them as we go.

The obama administrations new ag people have declared that no cattle should be feed round bales. It seems they feel that cattle need a square meal.

I just threw the PTO on the tractor. Too many large hills and trees I guess, not the first time believe me. I work umpteen hours a week and now have to deal with this once again. It's hot and I'm tired. Told Ann it would be nice to live a subdivision, she won't have any part of that. I am going to have a couple of Miller Lites to chill out.
