I am convinced these two sites have a higher amount of funny business going on. I can see it, particularly here, in the bar at the bottom.

The last time I complained(my old thread may still be around) some things were changed, and the site got better.

I have zero issues like this anywhere else.

You do know that you can click the right mouse button, then the left mouse button ... without moving your cursor/pointer up to the "back button" ... and "go back" a page. You just have to move your cursor/pointer off of the message area
When you click the right mouse button, a dropdown menu will appear. Click on the word "back" (first/top word in the menu) and it's the same as using the big <-- up on the top left of your screen.

Otherwise, I think "G" has a fix for this problem ... so you might send him a PM and let him know what you're experiencing.

There really isn't any funny business type stuff going on with either site. What has happened is that advertisers have switched more heavily to using Google Adsense... have you ever noticed that ad's you see on web pages often seem to be about products that your interested in buying / and/or have recently looked up. Google adsense and programs like it basically keep caches of that information to send to advert's on webpages as you pull them up... what it means is that advertisers love it because they are getting to show you and AD of a product that you might actually be interested in.... vs their generic everyday ad.

Internet explore does not play well with google adsense or any of the other versions of that out there. internet explorer is just a completely outdated, unoptimized terrible piece of software... to give you an idea most other browser's have a weekly if not even quicker update schedule.. IE runs its updates quarterly........

unfortunately IE is the "standard" in the industry and as such... and since it still actually works (well somewhat) it's often all companies put on their work PC's.

Just another way to "go back" to the previous page. It serves the same purpose as moving the pointer up to the Back Arrow in the toolbar/URL address area ... but with less wrist movement ... that's all.

"Prowler" makes a good point ... about Google Ads, and Internet Explorer. I had so many issues with IE9, that it made using my computer worse than when I was on "dial up" (phone line connection) .... so I switched over to using Google Chrome & Google Toolbar. Though, I can't say that it has cured any "back button" issues for me, since I haven't had any. Chrome IS much faster & more stable a browser, than Internet Explorer ... in my experience & IMHO.

I am partial to chrome as well... but any of the more modern browser's just make IE look silly.

    Chrome
    Firefox
    Opera

Pick your poison.... I would stick to one of these three though... as there the main competitors which means they get the constant updates.. (which is a good thing)

actually let me revise what i said above...

you know what download and install all 3, (just don't install and run and toolbars etc that they ask you to when you download them) and then use em and decide which one has the features you like the most. None of them take up much space and they only use resources when you have them running.
