i used to have a big bass boat and it had a 250 merc on it. i found a motor jack that clipped onto the housing of the motor and then had two female inserts that fit over two big nuts on the motor. it was great. and a lots smaller and less of a hassle than a transom saver. the only bad thing i can think of is it keeps the weight of the motor on the transom. but i never had any issues with mine.
