Good job Jeremy. Glad the weather finally settled down for your folks vacation. Very respectable job of allowing the senior fisherman in the boat to catch the fish. That is becoming a habit for you, huh?

I was hoping that the fish would be more cooperative on a day that is, in part, characterized by massive, relentless feeding. Nope. I started <1mile N of 64. I saw some fish, but they weren't very hungry. I pulled 3 keepers from the water N or 64. I caught the rest of the keepers 1-2miles S of 64 over the top of C.com condos. The pattern was to catch 1 or 3 nice keepers just on top of each condo set, then nothing. In fact, the fish were just within the bamboo tips, as I had to guide my bait just inside the bamboo mass (as it appeared on my Lowrance) in order to coax a strike. I never once saw an arc above the bamboo--again, the fish were nestled within the Phyllostachys twigs. My decision to test the southern waters was made late, and I am confident that if I had caught on to the pattern earlier, I would have had a bit more success.
A 1/32 chart head w/ blk_gld spkl_chart tail was the best color...although a lime grn_chart tail was a close 2nd. They weren't interested in minnows today (at least under my boat). Only 1 keeper on live bait, at the price of four dozen shiners. Dense fog in the AM; brilliant winter sun in the PM.

Where did they go!? Sunday was the first time I've fished that lake and not caught a keeper.

Well, I got off work early today, so I hooked up the boat and headed to Jordan. All the ramps were closed. Probably shouldn't have purchased minnows

I haven't caught a fish since Late November! Copied below is last year's report....

Here's a heads up- Farrington doesn't have a gate so it's always open. And a flat shovel will take that ice off the ramp so us old guys can follow you down the ramp.

I'm sure after today things should be good to go..I did Drive by the Upper Barton ramp yesterday at Falls and there was no ice at all on the ramp..

I'm going to give it a try today and see what happens.

Well, it figures that Farrington and Roberson were about the only two ramps I didn't drive by...and I am pretty sure the Roberson access has a gate. I'll remember that for next time! And yes, I was equipped w/ flat shovel.

With your broken down engine, it would take a long time to troll down to some deeper water from Farrington.:D:D:D
