Sunday on a "Raleigh Parks" Lake:
9:30am-12:30pm
0 Crappie
Water Temp: 47
Where did they go!? Sunday was the first time I've fished that lake and not caught a keeper.
Below is a summary of July-October excursions to the "Raleigh Parks" Lake. The numbers were copied out of "Quick Report." Sorry about the format...it's much easier to read in Excel. Read each row from left to right. For example: 1-Jul is the day fished; 5.25 is the hours fished; 30 is the number of 10+" fish landed; 5.71 is the # keepers/hr fished; 12.25 is the big fish of the day in inches; 11.43 is the KeeperScore(Keepers/Hours Fished)x2; 0.25 is the BigFish Score; and 11.68 is the total score (KeeperScore + BigFish Score).
The BigFish Score exponentially rewards or penalizes the day's big fish (where 12" is neutral). The total score is highest when lots of 10+" fish were caught relative to the hours fished AND/OR when a monster fish is landed. Both types of days are memorable in their own way and thus reflected here with higher point values.
(Day) (HrsFished) (Keepers) (Keepers/Hr) (BigFish) (KeeperScore) (BigFishScore) (TotalScore)

The BigFish Score chart below is as close to a parabolic equation as I could get without having to retake Algebra II. Read across 2 columns: 10.00 is big fish in inches and -2.00 is the bonus; 10.25 earns -1.75; ...16.00 earns an 8.00 bonus; etc.
Big Fish Bonus Big Fish Bonus Big Fish Bonus Big Fish Bonus
10.00 -2.00 13.00 1.00 16.00 8.00 19.00 64.00
10.25 -1.75 13.25 1.25 16.25 10.00 19.25 80.00
10.50 -1.50 13.50 1.50 16.50 12.00 19.50 96.00
10.75 -1.25 13.75 1.75 16.75 14.00 19.75 112.00

Sunday on a "Raleigh Parks" Lake:
9:30am-12:30pm
0 Crappie
Water Temp: 46
Ok, last Sunday was now the second time I've fished that lake and not caught a keeper. Looks like it's gotta be Jordan for a while now. I've just been so busy doing gardening lately--but I'm not complaining. I just wish the days were longer so I wouldn't have to choose between fishing and gardening.

Saturday on Jordan Lake:
8:15am-4:30pm
14 Crappie 10"-13.75" (13.75"=1.86lbs)
***Bottom bouncing minnow rig
#6 Vanish Transition Line
22-32'
Water Temp: 48
***big fish of the day caught on this bait
Thanks to the help of a fellow Crappie.commer, I found some fish today! It felt good to pull a 1.86 over the boat! Thank you!
I was hoping to fish with my dad today, but bad weather in the midwest prevented cancelled all his flights. Looks like he'll try it again in February or March.
It's been a while since I've posted a fishing report. I've gone maybe three times since my last "quick report" and each time had meager results. I've just been so busy with gardening and garden club stuff to fish much lately. But I'm going to the "Raleigh Parks" lake tomorrow. I haven't had any luck there since October, so I'm prepared to try much deeper. Wish me and PG24 luck tomorrow!

Thx!!! It was kinda "bitter Sweet" for me today... Love spneding time with my wife and daughter but I couldn;t help but to drool a little bit when I drove over the the route 64 bridge and saw the armada. It all went away though when my daughter was eyeing the big alagatore at the zoo :)

Redboat,
I had to maneuver through the Rt64 armada twice yesterday. It took about 5minutes to idle through the madness and each way I saw none of the 50+ boats land a fish. I figure that would be the same as watching one person not catch anything for an hour or two. But maybe it picked up at some point under there. I did hear one guy at the Ebeneezer say that he caught a few quality fish--he didn't say where, though.
Good luck on your next trip out there!

Pretty good results for all the competition you had on Jordan, Jeremy.
