What a difference a day made. I fished Norman yesterday and today.
Yesterday first, it was slow all day, managed to catch 19 all nice keepers. They were half way on trees to the tips. A few males mostly females. Fish were scattered only would catch one or two per tree. Water temp 57 at start 60 in the afternoon. Caught em on Booby Garland jigs.
Today was more active. The bite was good from daylight on. Had two limits by noon and missed or lost and broke off quite a few more. The wind got up and we quit at 1:30. A lot more black males on shallow brush. A really good day. The best that I’ve had on Norman in quite some time. Reminded of Norman 5 years ago. Used Bobby Garlands again. Waster temp 62-63 when I quit. The coming weather will probably knock ‘em back a little but hopefully not too bad.
My dad and uncle fished docks mostly today and they also had limits with some big females mixed in.
I should have taken some better pictures but I will post the couple I took.
