Went to Cape Fear river Hwy. 42 Avent ferry. Water was a little stained not bad as I was thinking it was going to be , water temp. 62-65° , no wind. Started at bridge on the south bank and worked down stream.
Me tightlining a garland jig at 8-10 ' , a rigged jig with bobber at 2' tossed to bank, throwing a plastic worm and spinner baits around logs. Got alot of snags with jigs. But couldn't buy a bite , I test boats in river but never fished it. Beautiful river. Just don't know how to fish it.
