I plan to go after work tmrw. I'll let you know what the water in the channel looks like.

Fished it today. Water stained but I dont consider it muddy. Some places clearer than others. Not a lot of floating debris. As far as pontoons it’s no trouble to launch at tamarac. You can see both ramps from the meeting spot. Now are the fish biting. I looked and fished from I-85 to the dam. Water was 39-41 degrees. Most fish marked and caught were 15 ft or deeper. The mouths of the creeks were the best. Not much on brush. Couldn’t get into flat swamp from main channel so if you want to fish flat swamp just meet up with everybody and trailer around. Same goes for Abbots. Warmer tomorrow and warmer yet on Saturday so should improve next two days. No charge for launching. Personally I’m a tight liner but long line trolling is very effective. I think everything will be great on Saturday. Any specific questions just pm me. This is for fun and to learn so let’s do just that. Hope to see a crowd on Saturday.

Flat Swamp ramp really isn't far from Tamarac/Second Creek ramp. 10-15 mins if I remember right.

Tamarac to Flat swamp isn't far. Definitely faster by road than paddling.....

I'm locked and loaded, The toon started up after a bit of encouragement, aired up the tires, truck and boat full of gas, just need to load the cooler, snacks and me.
    See you guys about 6am
