Went to Flat swamp this morning and It definitely was a cold morning but the crappie were biting by 2pm I had 29 keepers all 10 inches or bigger and I threw back properly 50 the majority of them being 9 in I was by myself so I decided just to keep the nice ones. I had 4 in the 13 to 14in range. I also did catch a striper 19 and 3/4 inch long I had another one hook but it ran into a brush and I broke off. But it was definitely packed in real tight. All in all was a good day

Yes the farther in law came out around 1 other than that just duck hunters and bass fishers I did see 3 or 4 others trolling near the boat ramp

Glad you got some. I was there yesterday and pulled jigs and spider rigged couldn't get them to bite. Wind was terrible so I went to the bridge and caught 46 nice ones. Marked tons of bait everywhereOriginally Posted by MattBerry35

I do like my helix it has DI and SI I have not played with the Imaging very much to get the settings adjusted just right but other than that it's great

Matt I fish out of Tamarac a lot but want to try a new area. Have herd a lot about flat swamp creek. How do I get there from Tamarac and how far down the creek do you suggest going , if you don't mind me asking. Going to the dentist at 9 in the morning in Lexington and going to pull my boat with me and thought I might try flat swamp creek. You can pm me if you want or call me on my cell 252 339 5681.
