I think it has a lot to do with location. I fished Monday. I only caught 12 crappie, no perch and 1 cat. I did not have a crappie under 12" and 2 that were 15". Most were 13 to 14.5". For me it was a nice mess of fish. I think in the winter months the larger fish group together. All on pink/pink/chartruse split tail with a minnow.

That is kinda what I was thinking it was the location.
