With the current weather I thought I would start a post about the worse weather you have fished in. I will start . I had just started fishing at Tillery when it started raining. I am talking about a heavy had to keep the bilge pump running rain. Tillery is a long ride and I was not going to give up and the crappie were biting . I stayed for about 4 hours and it rained the whole time. Lucky it was warm even with rain gear I was wet all the way to my underwear.

65 miles out king fishing. Shark killing rain and 15 to 18 foot seas in a 55ft boat. Caught our limit and 3 50 gal. Trash cans full of bottom fish. Rough weather and seas but awesome fishing trip.
Thank a Veteran every chance you get.

One trip to Norman I took my brother this was December I think, the weatherman said the snow would start about 3:30-4 so we figured we could be home way before. Got set up early morning at the Hot Hole about 10 boats around everybody is on fish. So far so good. About noon the snow started, flurries OK they are bitting I'm not leaving. An hour or so goes by I look around and there's only one other boat and we have a couple inches of snow on the boat. It's dark like 10PM at nite snow falling in buckets but here are bitting. We finally decide to pull lines and head to the ramp, we stopped by the other boat 2 guys pulling on a rope start motor without much luck, I asked if they needed a tow they were sure they'd get it going so we headed back a low speed due to the lack of visibility. Got to the 150 bridge and people were going 10 mph blowing their horns????
Pulled to the dock and it was covered with 4-5 " of snow the ramp was also covered. Once we were tied down and loaded we thought Hwy 150 would be ok to travel, well 150 was a slushiest with people going slow. The we think OK 77 will be clear not, got down to 77/485 flyover and went to Carolinas and back up that bridge looked scary that evening. On 485 we saw people fly past us and then slide off the Hwy into ditch. On the Hwy 16 ramp we stopped for traffic and couldn't get rolling till by Brother got out and pushed us to get rolling, then stuck on the dip on 16 just South of the ramp. We gave up and parked the boat in the guy's orchard and drove home.
Next morning we took the 4wd and got the boat then cleaned the frozen fish. Thereat took two day to melt the snow off it ( in the garage)

Cant remember what year it was I want to say around February 2009 I fished a striper tournament in my old boat on lake Norman that i pre paid for months ago. At 6am it was 4 degrees and wind was blowing about 15mph. By 10am I had 2 keepers to weigh in and threw in the towel. Never do I quit on the water, but with a high of 21 degrees and the wind wipping 25-30 i called it a day and waited in the truck for weigh in!
