Rumor has it that the newer engine will take the regular unleaded. However the difference in cost isn't worth the risk if they are wrong.
My truck is an E 85 model so I hope I'm safer running regular unleaded with alcohol .
The strange thing in my mind is bad when I messed around with race engines and switched to alcohol and started to switch jets to make it run, we always started with double the jet size then tuned from there. That would equal double the gas so where is the savings and how does my truck figure out that I'm running alcohol even at 10%.
Just another mystery I'll never figure out.

The computer in your E85 truck meters the fuel by increasing the flow thru the injectors just like bigger jets did in your Holley carb. Ethanol is 10 to 20% less efficent
