Only did a little bit of trolling on it for crappie a few years back. Caught a few, not that many though. Hoping to fish it a little this summer since I work only 10 mins from it. I'll keep you updated when I get out there finally.

    Thanks,
When I had a boat used to fish it alot.
Mostly around the 16 bridge and Nance cove.
Fished some around the horseshoe, but not much.
Lots of catfish and white perch with a few crappie.
I just seldom see anyone post about this lake.
It's a good lake just completely different than Wylie.
I work off W.T. Harris so I'm not that far from it either.
Just don't have a boat right now. And hard to find areas to bank fish from there.
Thanks for any updates and good luck.

Yea. We use to have some pretty good catfish trips there. I work off of Reames Rd. and thought about trying a night stalk on it sometime. I don't know how it would be but I have a couple places in mind that I'm gonna try out sometime. When I get ready for a night stalk if you would be interested you could join me.

I live near where you guys work.

Put some days on Mt. Island in this month. Been some good fast fishing. It slowed down here recently which im blaming on lack of rain. Ill be back out there next time im off and we get aome good rain.
May is my favorite time on Mt. Island...and its close to home!

    Thanks teamhookstter. That would awesome.
I've done a few nights talks there. Very dark on that lake.
Never done great with crappie there but caught a few at night more in Nance but a few under 16 bridge.
There used to be some attractor cords on the Internet for there too. I'll seemail if I can find them again and send them to you.
Just let me know when you want to try it. Hopefully I'll be able to join you.
I work off Lakeview Rd. by the way.

Maybe you can post a night stalk invite here and get a group of guys to show up.
I'm going to Hartwell next weekend for a night stalk with some C.C members on the SC board.
If interested look it up there and come join us.
It will be my first time fishing there and only my 4th trip fishing with C.C members.
Pete, maybe we can all get up sometime and put a whippin on'em.

Never fished it. My daughter lives about 10 minutes form there. What kind of cats are you catching. Any blues in the lake. I usually fish Hickory and they say there are blues there, but all I seem to catch are flatheads.

    Cwright,
I have caught channels, blues and flats there.
Mostly channels in the 10"-14" range.
With a few blues and flats in the 10 -15 lbs range.
There are strippers in the lake too.
I've only caught 1 very small one but I don't fish for them.
    Caught it crappie fishing.
You should come down and try the lake out.
It has some shallow areas and most are not marked (at least not the last time I was on it).
No maps available for it either which is a shame.

I will have to do that. The wife will probably want to stay and play with the grandkids. If she does, I let you know and see if you want to go. Maybe you can show me the lake. Thanks for the info.
