    Default High Rock Report 3/24*

Fished High Rock Thursday with my Dad. My favorite technique is casting. This time of year its certainly less frustrating when trying to cast to locate and catch crappie.
We visited several coves and picked up a few here and there each time. We had to cover a lot of water because we never found that one spot that held a lot of fish. It seemed like they are beginning to move in for the dance but are not quite there at this time. It could be the recent cold front that caused them to pull out a little bit.
My dad and I fish a little differently. Dad always tips his jigs with minnows and I prefer not to unless he gets bit and I do not. High Rock Report 3/24*. Thursday I had 23 and he had 21. Not any real difference except I probably had a lot more casts than he did since I wasnt adding a minnow.

Weather was beautiful but the wind raged at times. I was on the trolling motor hard most of the time to maintain the right position.

Good report! It's cool, at least to me, to catch whites and blacks on the same trip.
