    Default Report Harris 3/17*

Took my kayak out of the park today looking in and around the nearby coves to see if I could find some spawning crappie. Water temp was 71 in the back of the coves, upper 60's in 20+ ft (all surface temp of course). Saw more bass bedding in one cove then I've ever seen before, I bet there were 10 or so and they kept banging into the grass and flopping around. Scared me a few times. Didn't catch a single crappie but did end up with a few nice size perch and a flathead. Since I have to include a picture and I didn't catch any crappie, please accept my humble catfish picture and a scenic view so I may enter the contest

Great post, beautiful place. Any type fish or method will do. As long as it has a pic. Way to get us started.

Yes, those carp really tear up the banks. Had to go over and scope that out one time.
