nothing to brag about
Went to Harris today. Beautiful weather except morning wind. It did calm some about noon. Water temp 52*. I looked shallow and found nothing. I was marking a lot of fish in the 35 to 40 feet range. Caught 4 nice crappie all about 4' off the bottom in 40' water. This surprised me. In the afternoon I marked some fish at 12' in 25' water but could not catch any to prove what they were. All 4 crappie were full of eggs and went back to do their thing. Others I talked to were having the same kind of luck.

I went today and also checked shallow, no luck. I fished from 2-6pm and the water temp was 55. Caught quite a few perch in 20', no crappie

Sea Dancer same thing with me, caught only 1 crappie 35 ft deep, 1 White Pearch trolling around 20 feet deep....
I was surprised that the fish did not bite no better....very windy early.....a hard fishing day but thank God it was a beautiful day out.....
May God bless all when you hit the waters this year.

We fished Sunday from 3 till 6:30 at Harris and ended up with 27. Still catching a lot of males in 40' of water in coves. I just don't see much action happening in the main channel so it's pretty safe to say the crappie are moving closer to the spawning grounds. I watched a couple of guys near me catch 5 or 6 in less than 10' of water. Again, small males but still crappie. Although I'm fishing in 40' the fish are 20' or less.
