Thread: Depth finder installation

We purchased a new Garmin Echo map 70 to replace the smaller Lowrance that came with our boat. Any tips on installing it? Or any suggestions on somewhere to take it to be done ?

The one thing that I would recommend is mount it on a ram mount. The type with two ball joints and the 6 inch arm. I put one on the helix I installed a few months ago and don't know how I ever lived without it. I can turn so the sun doesn't reflect. If I am in the front, I can twist around to the front. very quick to remove as well. After fishing, I just twist a knob, unplug two wires and stow it in a protective bag still on the ram mount arm. Well worth the money.
