    Default River heights

Does anyone know where I can find what the normal heights of rivers are? The corp of engineers website just has the current heights

Not sure if this is what you are asking about, but on the USGS website there is an option to show the Median height... Name: Capture1.jpg

When I select "Graph w/stats" at the top, then click GO to the right of that, it displays the current readings, with the little triangles as the Median daily statistic (4 years). Hope that helps if it what you were looking for. It is a little difficult to navigate, but here's the website. USGS WaterWatch -- Streamflow conditions

USGS Current Conditions for USGS 02080500 ROANOKE RIVER AT ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC

this is the gage closest to the dam.

    https://www.dom.com/corporate/what-w...-flow-releases

this will give you their "guess" of what they will do over the next 3 days.

I don't expect the releases there to drop anytime soon as Kerr Lake is still in the flood pool. 20,000 is very fishable you just have to find current breaks. Let me know when you are thinking of going and I'll let you know what I know regarding flow projections and fishing.

There will be lots of water down there. Water will be up in the trees. If you are striper fishing, looki for spots where water is flowing out of the trees and cast in close. Take some crappie jigs as there is some good crappie fishing in the creeks there too. May even catch a shad on them.
