I rode across Flat Swamp and the water is not as muddy as the main river. I would try either there or Buddle creek. Although Buddle Creek is a shallow water access. Just my 2cents.

Buddy just got a new boat and is wanting to take it out this weekend. Anyone catching any on High Rock?

The last couple times I have rode by/to High Rock(I haven't took the boat)the water has been very muddy and higher than normal. Just don't understand why they won't let any water out.
Heard this a couple weeks ago, when the driftwood starts stacking up behind the dam, it has to be loaded on rail cars by crane and the water has to be at a certain elevation.
Mttoney if you go after stripers, they have been about midway of the creeks on Hickory and Norman. That is where we are finding the bait so the stripers are there as well. Find a large creek and start looking from the mouth back. When you start marking large bait balls of shad, the stripers will not be far. Also be sure to look for birds diving on the surface. They were a big help on Norman last weekend. Good luck.
