That pole sits about 6.5 feet tall on ground level. The flags I'm having made should be about 12" x 16" of hi-vis yellow or orange. With the EGA in them. If y'all happen to see one like that this spring. Feel free to say hi! I'm sure I'll be the only one like that out on Jordan or Harris.

You can get a white 360 light at bass pro and stick it on the top of that pole if your fishing in low light conditions too. I want to build a high pole like that so the bugs stay a few feet above me at night.

It's powered by me and a paddle. Kayaks are a lot like canoes. They have come a long way in the past few years. This is a sit on top version as opposed to a sit in style. It's more like one of those stand up paddle boards you might see people using now, except I can sit and enjoy the scenery. From what I hear it is very stable. I'll figure that part out over the next couple months. Haha.

Sporkd if you want, I can send you my list of what I used for this, and you can adjust the top to fit your needs for the light on top. I originally planned on using a signal light, but wanted to leave it open to anything I might find in the mean time. High is exactly what I kept in mind when making this. I don't know exactly what the law might say, but all the options available for purchase out there are only about 48" tall. Mine is much higher, but still pretty light weight.

Also, I have a lot of the 1 1/4" pipe left. If you want to save a few $, you can have it.

We have a lake house on a good size private lake and I was thinking of getting a couple of sit on top to keep at the lake house. We have a side-by-side peddle boat and a canoe but I think some of the family might like the kayaks.

They can get a little ridiculous if you get into the hobby

I bet they would like that. From what I hear you wouldn't have any problem standing to cast, fish, etc.. And paddle all day is not a problem with the newer ones. The seat is really comfy.
