I keep a ton of minnows in the basement for slow spider rigging and fishing with the kids. Nothing like them watching the cork go down. With that said, if it is just me and I am fishing Hickory like normal, I almost always use jigs because of the white perch. They will still bite a jig at times, but you cannot keep them off the minnows.

We quit fishing with antique Minnows a long time ago.
Looks like i'm giving up minnows for lent, I really hate stopping at the gas station on the way to the lake every time.
Here lately every time I've been to a sporting goods store or the fishing show last month I've started to buy a few jigs here and there. I think I've started to get a good assortment. The next time I go out I'm not going to buy any minnows and try to jig fish. Hopefully it turns out good and I find the right depth, color and head size combo.
I guess the next question do y'all prefer two jigs on line or a single jig? If y'all have two do you have the same colors on both?
