It is the bridge at Farrington point, right? I went to Ebenzer last Saturday and today, each time I landed more than 10 fishes but only 4-5 are keeper. Last weekend fishes every crappie had eggs and not for today. I guess we are possibly now hunting posts-prawning crappies.

Pre-spawn crappie. Look for them to be moving to the staging areas for the Spring spawn.

No, if you were down there, I was the guy next to the bridge. I made the half mile trek from the closest parking area. I don't advise it, maybe I'll call a cab or Uber next time. Lol

Mom guessing you just caught males. I think it is still too early for spawning to be done or even started.

So you were the guy standing on the piling span? Me and my buddy looked over and said "how did he get on there". We didn't fish Farrington, we went back into Morgan Creek to see if the catfish were biting and then headed over to 64 and fished there for crappie. Needless to say, the catfish were not biting.

Yep. That was me. I don't suggest doing that, but I parked up the road on Farrington across from the boat ramp. There's a little parking area. It's about a half mile walk to the bridge then a sketchy climb down the rip rap... It's the price you pay when you don't have the $ for a boat. I am saving up for a kayak to fish/hunt from. I suppose that's more in my price range. In the past, I have had my wife stop and drop me off on Farrington, so I could just climb down. I can usually sneak in a couple hours of fishing then. Until it warms up some, I just couldn't think of a better access to deeper water than there... Normally I'll go to 751 or just around the corner from Farrington on Martha's Chapel rd. There really isn't a lot around there for bank fishing access...
