Headed down to Badin a few weeks ago right after all that rain after cats and ended up catching 15 channels in the 2-10 lb. range. Water was raging out of the dam and the water looked like it was flowing from a construction site . . . extremely muddy, but caught fish in every spot but one. No pictures from this day.
Haven't striper fished Badin much over the years but had a couple weekends off in a row so went after them down there the last 2 Saturdays. 1st day we caught 8 and had 6 keepers, and this past Saturday I went by myself and caught 9, but only had 3 keepers. One was well over 27", but didn't weigh it. Marking bait all over the area I fish, and the fish I've marked have all been scattered, deep, and not schooled up. Hoping this cold weather will school 'em up a little and make for some multiple hookups at a time. Water is still plenty dirty and the darker color bucktails seemed to work better.
