nice report. That is a beautiful river around the RedStar and Moores Creek areas.

Pretty much same report as usual... Started the day with a few dinks. Seems like the little ones always bite at first light. Caught a nice mess, the fish weren't as big as last time, but still respectable. The ones I kept were 10" - 12". Decided to leave the long rods at home and stuck to long lining all morning. Pulled 4 rods rigged with the little RoadRunner naked jig spinners 4 - 6 feet deep. Two tipped with shiners and two tipped with gulp minnows. Honestly, live or artificial didn't seem to matter. On the water at daybreak and home at noon. Pretty good day.![]()

I fish north of there. I put in at the Hunt's Bluff landing and fish the coves upriver from there. The one exception being Wilson Cove, which is probably about a mile south of Hunt's Bluff. But yeah, that is some beautiful black water and hardwood lowland. Lots and lots of turkeys and ducks, too. Saw a bunch of hooded mergansers and wood ducks yesterday.
