    Default saving Sharron Herris

Went to Harris this morning. Very foggy. Fished minnows on coleman rigs in 23' water. Caught some nice crappie up to 14" but really had a good time with the white perch. The white perch hit hard and bent the rod well. I did my part trying to save Harris . Almost all the perch were large females and full of eggs. Eggs not fully developed yet and these won't hatch. Two of the perch were 13.5". Some will be in the hot oil very soon. Catch them now before they spawn.

tangled, if you are at the Holleman ramp, go left up the main lake. Not too far you'll see a bunch of boats well off the bank in 20+ feet of water. Fish there. No need to crowd anyone already setup plenty of fish in a large area. You should see some fish on your finder so start there and then just drift/troll around the general area.

The Crappie bite was very faint. Could hardly tell they were there. The perch slammed it. Both were tight to bottom in 22 to 24 feet of water.

Yeah bite was lite when I fished about a week ago. I'd see the rod tip move and that's it. I figured the fish had bumped and moved on but when I checked the fish was usually still there. But if I wasn't carefully watching the rods I would never know I had a bite.
