    Default New Bern Report

Caught about 30 or so fish total. Kept a limit. Fish caught in 6-10'. Water temp was in the upper 50s.

Super report and pic. You are in the Bobby Garland contest. Only a few more days until a winner is named. Get your reports in, it is a nice prize pack.

Nice work Jack. Love to see pics and reports from my fellow river fishermen. Is that a trout in the bottom of the sink? Do they go that far up river?

Nice, solid looking crappie. Looks like you had a good day on the water.

It was up some, but nothing like the rivers down our way. About the only time the Neuse rises an extreme amount is during a Northeastern, or the wind is blowing heavy off of the ocean. Then, that place can fill up with water in no time at all. It's remarkable to see it transform from one extreme to the next in a day's time.

I've seen it do that in the Chesapeake Bay. I think it's called "seiching". It's actually pretty cool. Man the Cape Fear and Black are still wayyy out the banks.

I've caught some nice ones, actually my PB when the Black was real high. Back in Long Lake. I can only get there when it's high. Might need a chainsaw to get back there since the high water.
