    Default Hickory Report

Everything moved deeper with the cold front. Most of the shad marked below 18-20 foot. Stripers started out early morning Sunday up a little at about 16 foot and my son caught a few keepers, but within an hour or so they had moved too deep to reach with my umbrellas and deep divers. Did pick up a few big spots a little later. Going back tomorrow and will let everyone know if they have moved up any. Someone mentioned hard to find shad. It has been really tough for the past month. I finally just started pulling my rigs again instead of hunting shad. Crappie were marked fairly deep as well. I am going to pull a few crank baits for them tomorrow a little later.

Went back yesterday. Highest it has been this year and completely covered in trash, limbs, trees, and leaves. Tried trolling for an hour or so, but could not keep the rigs clear. Bait moving back into the creeks and bunching up though.
