    Default Kerr Scott advice

Have a chance to fish Kerr Scott this Friday and Saturday. Any reports or recommendations would be most appreciated.
    Thanks

Good luck. I have not fished it this year, but have a few times in the past. Crappie are tough on that lake. There are a few here that do well, but they fish it a lot. I have never had any luck pulling or spider rigging. Only way I have been able to get a few is fishing brush or docks close and slow with minnows.

I like Kerr Scott - it's a very pretty lake, even though the boat launch is kind of funky . I have fished it at night under lights and caught them pretty regularly. In evenings caught some casting jigs around docks and brush piles kind of like cwright mentioned.

Caught 9 bass on minnows from 9:30 to1:45. No crappie. Bass ranged from 3" to 13".

Same thing that usually happens to me. I can catch plenty of bass there, but crappie are tough. Wasn't much better on Hickory. I had a few striper bites, but fished for crappie for probably 3 hours and have yet to see one. Pulling jigs in the creeks. Marked them, but could not get them to bite.
