Is the crappie spawn over? Does that mean no more buckets of fine eating to catch? Flatfoot

Fished this morning near the south ramp on Shearon Harris. Water temp was 68 degrees. Only put two crappie in the boat. Kept two white perch to try and a catfish. The bigger crappie had eggs, one perch had eggs, too, and the catfish was loaded to the gills with eggs. I have never kept white perch before. Although these were small, they appear to have a lot of flesh on them.

I don't think it's 100% over at Jordan. We caught a bunch last week in 8-10' of water and about 1/3 were full of eggs. Went yesterday and caught a bunch in 16' of water and still about 1/3 had eggs. The heavy rain and hail really dropped the water temp (surface temp anyway) by about 7 degrees. My next goal is to head back to Harris and see if I locate the crappie.
I think it's over at Harris. I tried several coves with no luck, went under the bridge and found crappie in the middle of the lake over the channel. Couldn't get them to bite, only caught one, but they were popping the surface all over. Should have brought minnows![]()

I've been having a lot of success at Harris for the past few weeks. Catching some hogs. Mostly on minnows. Been catching them on jigs too. Joker purple/chartreuse, junebug, and pink/chartreuse. Pushing in about 10-14 feet of water. About 1/3 had eggs. Night fishing has been producing as well.
