Thread: personal best at Hyco

Round 2 Sunday afternoon at Hyco...Church and other family activities got me a late launch around 3:00. Got back in the creek at the same area and found the water 3* colder. Figured out the crappie had gone to deeper water and down in the water column. Previously I was using 1/32 jig head but the fish were deeper so after switching to 1/16 I was getting bit. The sky changed from spitting rain and heavy overcast to sun. Changed from dark color to bright and things picked up. Had some quality fish couple of 12" and one at 14". At 7:15 had a good fish that fought hard all the way back to the boat. Ended the day with my first 15 incher from Hyco. All the larger fish were spawned out and released . Good to see fish like that . FB
