    Default Neuse River NC Shellcrackers


    Put 46 fish in the boat,primarily shellcrackers. Water temp was 61-63*f. Fish caught from 3-7'. They'll be on the beds before long.

    Nice mess of fish right there. Wish I could find that size fish around the lakes around my neck of the woods.

    Don't really target redears as I don't eat em, but those are some fine specimens right there. Pound for pound the strongest fighters. Love it when they turn on their sides and go on a run. Good job.

    FF, no Raccoon Perch that day, however I did catch a few the previous 2 days while crappie fishing.

    Thinking of taking the kayak out this week, do you think any shellcrackers or crappie will be around cool springs.
