What do you think the weather this week is going to do to the crappie bite? I also was planning on fishing next saturday somewhere but am worried that a lot of the lakes are going to be frozen solid saturday morning. What you guys think?

There will be frozen areas in coves and could effect launch areas. Also be very careful with ice on ramps. If you are not the first boat the ramp can be very slick. The fish won't care. They will eat.
The surface water where we fished on Saturday was 43. I just checked the water temp's at the the dam on Jordan and they are at 47. There may be some ice on top, but will not hang around long out on main channels.
As for the fish, I was getting reports last week of crappie being caught from 12'-16'. On Saturday, those fish had moved out to the channel in 28'-32'. The crappie are staging for pre-spawn, so they may run shallow with a few warm days, but with what we've had and is coming this week, they will most likely be deep for the weekend.
There is a time to fish and a time to eat fish. Tonight is a time to eat fish. Just my two cents.
FISH WILL STILL BITE SOME,MAY HAVE TO HOLE IT STILL RIGHT AT HIS NOSE,BUT I FIND MANY DAYS THAT IF YOU DROP IT UNDER HIM AND LIFT IT UP VERY SLOW THAT IT WORKS GOOD MOST COLD DAYS
