    Default Spray-in liners for boats

I have a 20' SeaArk aluminum boat and would like to get a light color spray-in liner. I am looking to make it more quiet, cool and easier to clean. Does anyone have suggestion? The boat is 8 wide with a console, I would like to have the floor, sides and seats sprayed, any idea of cost? Any help would be appreciated I am just exploring the possibilities

Line x is the only one I'm aware of that offers colors, all others are black IIRC. Stuff will add some weight, and not sure it will be easy to clean as it has a rough texture for slip resistance.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Several brands are available in colors. But I really like lizard skin products the sound insulation coating and heat resistant coating. The sound insulation goes on first and is only available in black I think. Then the Heat resistant coating goes on second and is available in black, grey or white. I have used these coating on a lot of underbodies on cars and trucks and they seem impervious to damage. A typical application adds about 0.1 pounds per SF to the projects. eg 1870 jon boat ~180sf x 0.1 = 20# so not too much of an issue. It is much smoother than bed liner products and relatively easy to apply (spray). I do not think they are as durable as bed liner products but foot traffic in a boat is a lot less damaging than sliding a load of bricks across a floor. If I were gonna coat a boat, I would call mascoat and see what they think. The insulating properties are impressive and the sound deadening awesome. The product can be top coated with certain automotive finishes mascoat engineering can give details of that process. I have dealt with them several times and they are very helpful and always looking for new applications and challenges. I even got a free gallon of the stuff to try on a combine cab. (It made a big difference there as far as comfort both sound and heat and has held up for 4 seasons and still looks great).

One cars, dried mud hoses off on the combine, a leaf blower is all we use to clean it. Hand prints get cleaned with udder wash so far no damage.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know how much it cost to get something like Rino liners sprayed per sq ft. How do you get up the glue used to stick the carpet. Does it have to be completely cleaned. We don't have anyone locally that does this as far as I know. Are the vinyl coating sold from Bass Pro or Cabela's suitable? I know I have too many questions but I just want to do this ONE time.

I had a 2072 sprayed in 1996 (I think) for $600. I also had a long bed pickup sprayed, a month or two prior, at the cost of $300. So, maybe it's still about twice the price of a truck. Yes, the boat needs to be really clean. I removed the glue with chemical paint stripper. I can't remember the name of my liner, but it comes in any color imaginable. Unfortunetly, the company that did mine has closed down.
