Crappie at Harris

Hey guys, I need a little help. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have not been able to get on the water in over a year. A friend invited me to go tomorrow on Harris. He has a new to him pontoon he wants to try out. Problem is, he has no fish finder or trolling motor. Will probably have to just tight line while drifting. Not asking for honey holes, but though if any of you had been the last few days, you might tell what depth you had been picking up Crappie. Gonna be handicapped not being able to see the bottom or fish, but a bad day on the water is better than a good day at work. Any help you are willing to share without giving away your "honey holes" would be appreciated. Also. jigs or minnows? Thanks guys.

start at the buoy straight out from the holleman ramp and drift toward the bridge. 1 or 2 cranks off the bottom. you should be in 12-16 feet most of the time and there are plenty of crappie and white perch thst should find your baits. minnows will work a lot better. Make sure and move very slow...they are a little slow to bite for some reason right now.
