I left around 3:20 that morning , and after going in circles around Marion , I arrived at Black Bear at 7:30. There were few boats when I started , but unfortunately , this changed as time progressed. I could see several fish break the surface , and they saw me as well. I got a slight tug on a piece of cut shad , but it let go. I left after 30 minutes , and headed to find an ATM. It seemed like everywhere I went , they were broken. I found one , and headed up 126 to the park. I killed a few minutes on the pier , then procured a canoe. I used CBMIGP , perch , and minnows. The first 2 baits were fished about 14' down , the minnows 9'. In the mouth of Paddy's Creek , I caught a few bait sized WP , and continued to an attractor in 10' of water. This produced no cats , and 2 small crappies. Under the 126 bridge , there was no luck. I headed back in , and stopped in a shallow cove and caught 5 small crappies , about 5". I headed back around 3 , and ran into rainstorms. Luckily , I only got drizzled on while on the lake. I may take a day or 2 off and head back.

It is a beautiful lake to take a ride on, but a hard lake to fish unless ya know it very well. Thanks for the report, and hope you have better luck next time!!
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners
