Fishing is a science, study, experiment, fail, and succeed...then start over tomorrow. Yeah I'm a science guy.

The center is aluminum, with the end milled down to fit into a pedistal. If you can find a base that screws in, you can thread the end of this and just screw it in. The top has been milled down and threaded with a nut and washer between the middle rod holder's. Was originally made to work with 4 driftmasters for catfishing.

Been using bass pro telescoping rods for many years now I like them; only for trolling. They are cheap and really convenient when you are moving from place to place. I have every kind of rod imaginable; you really need to try some different stuff and find what works for you. I will tell you this it takes time to learn how to fish with long rods no matter what the brand, good luck

I sure hope so, I haven't got to try it out and get the holders positioned where they need to be, but hey I have less than 20 bucks in more than 8 holders I still have pipe left to make about 6 more. Got the idea from here. Just need to get a depth finder for the front

I will probably end up going to blewett falls if the water isn't terribly high around Thursday, but tillery is also an option and one of my favorite lakes in NC for cats and crappie . .

You may want to take a look at the HI-TEK line of rods. I like them better than the Pinnacles. I think Monk is carrying them now.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I have 3 rods already 1-12' rod and 2-10' B&M rods that I acuired from a buddy. Im not looking to spend a ton on rods just some cheap ones with fairly decent quality. I guess first of all I should tell yall about my setup. I have a SeaHunt 22BxB. The rods holders I purchased are gunnel mounted holders from SpiderKing.com which gives me the option to run 8 rods off the back of my boat. I know traditonally you push the baits instead of pull, but I dont have it set up that way yet. With that said, any suggestions on rods i should use? Thanks in advance for any helpful info.

I am looking at getting some as well. Here's a question though more about how a person fishes. In the next few months, The crappie will be more moving up shallow. Do most people not "Spider Rig" while they're shallow on lakes filled with docks? Most/All of the Mid March-April fishing I've done has been shooting docks.

    Thanks!

Mine has also, and fishing around edges with pockets cut into the bank. I just want to give it a try, seems like a good locator method, if you can catch them spider rigging you should be able to catch them doing the dock shooting and corking a minnow.
