Well got to hit Harris today with the kids. When I got there around 2:30 this afternoon I spoke with a couple of guys and they said they never had a single bite all day using minnows. We went ahead and tried it in 30' of water and caught a medium size crappie at about 20'. The kids were trying to reel in a few but they got off. Then the poles bent over pretty good. Evidently we got into some white bass and they were nailing the minnows. This was not what we were targeting but they had a blast reeling in these things. Some got quite large and really pulled some drag. The gulls were feeding like crazy and we found out why. Kept a couple to eat and they were full of eggs and small bait fish. I forgot the camera but I would've like to have a pic of the fish finder screen because it was loaded with bait and apparently white bass. Finished up around dark with a couple more crappie then called it a day.
