water temp was 85* all day and the water is insanely clear. brought home 18 nice fish, well atleast for this time of the year, size was actually down from what i was getting last year at this time, all kept fish were in the 12 oz to 1.4 range. got them 7-12' down over 10-19' of water, i see someone else is fishing one of my areas as i wound up a jig with a good color on it and about 30'of line and it looked fresh, the hook hadn't even begin to rust, may explain why the usual size was lower, they are in someone elses freezer. the lake is slam full of 9'' fish, we got a good rain storm that came through that evening that got the cats to biting too, funny i never had one hit till after the rain then we got 4 in the next hour didn't seem to affect the crappie on way or the other, from the time we put rods out to the time we brought them in crappie were coming aboard, just not quite the size i would have liked to have seen. sc has officialy ruined me.
