Me and my dad went out sunday night at falls lake. The bite was pretty steady, fishing from 8-10ft of water in 26ft. We lowered them green lights into the water and within 10 mins the bait fish were everywhere. Caught about 10-15 crappie, no size though, and maybe 30-35 white bass. Also caught a baby striper maybe 14in. Didnt catch any size but it sure was fun to get back out there. We fished from about 6:30-1:00.

Great report and sounds like a good trip.
I PRACTICE CATCH & FRY---WHEN I CAN FISH AND CATCH:D
Wonder where that striper came from.....Thanks for the Falls report
Thanks for the report
I just got done cleaning a few, did a night stalk last night, first time in awhile for Crappie, Falls was pretty dirty, caught alot of fish, but not many Crappie, took home 6 keepers, pretty nice size fish, those white perch were everywhere, fished 28' deep. with most all of the Crappie @ around 7 to 10 down,
good fishing
Is there a chance you are mistaken, and that the "white bass" were actually white perch, and the "small striper" was actually a white bass?
Either way, thanks for the report. I have been to busy to really fish much, but I think it is time to try and fill up the freezer from a nightstalk on falls.
Nothing left to do but Smile Smile Smile
I know the striper was a striper. I dont know about a white perch i aint never seen one before, or at least dont think i have.

Fish ID Temperate Bass
There have not been any striper added to Falls lake since before Hurricane Fran in 1996. What few stripers that could be left would be well over 14"s by now. The lake is however over run with white perch and also has a healthy population of white bass and I often catch them over 2 pounds there. Side by side it is easy to tell as a small striper is much shorty from belly to back than a white bass of the same length.
