i gotta work friday night so i can pay for it, if the ranger is already gone, i have had my eye on the xpress 18' crappie series with the hyperlift hull, really the only boat i have found that has the layout i was looking for, priced a 2012 with a 115 yamaha 4 stroke for 19k, though the trolling motor and electronics left much to be desired, but the guy said we could swap out, but i'm sure that would cost extra. desicions desicions, not going to rush into anything really, this is a major thing for me so i wanna make the right choice.

wish that guy would call me back.

bobbyj that skiff you told me about was loaded, and nice, but to me skiffs catch wind bad and the ride on rough water is well rough.

The express 18 with hb 898 or larger and IPilot and rod holders positioned right would be a great rig. My problem, after i buy it i cant afford to fish.

Ranger makes a darn good boat, I'm on my second now..first was bass boat back in about 1985 and now have a fisherman model and love it, have had it about 12+ years... rides good and solid..good luck with yours am sure you'll like it!

well ya'll are talking to the proud new owner of a ranger r 81. my wife said she has never seen me so excited to spend money.

i must admit it is hard to come off of the money though, but to have something you gotta spend it, i can't fish off of a stack of green paper anyway.

if i can talk the wife into it maybe after the weekend i'll post some pics.
