Fished after work and had a poor result with about 6 fish only one keeper. They close the park there at 7PM and the fish seem to start biting about then also. There were a couple guys pulled up on a boat there to do some nite stalking when I was leaving and wondered if they were any of you guys? Sure would like to know how they did last night. There were some large bass breaking and saw on guy catch 2 in the 8 pound range. Prolly why the crappie were hiding.

Hey albiechaser I didnt try it yet but did pull out the lake map and find it so I have the gun raised and aimed but just have not pulled the trigger. Might do that today as a matter of fact. Thanks again for sharing that with me.

good luck, just remember to walk to the left (once you get to the water)around 200 yards, and if you have a small car you can drive down alittle farther,
    enjoy

Fished Falls from the bank last night. It's a small cove close to the Hickory Hill landing. Stayed until 11pm and kept 16. The fun part was when I hooked a fish but couldn't pull it up. Figured that the fish tangled the line around something. I decided to leave that rod alone and went on with my business with other rods. After a minute or two, the bobber sank again so I picked up the rod. It fights funny, not the way like crappies do. Well when I pulled it up, I thought I got a big snake! It turned out to be 30" freshwater eel! This is my first eel ever.

Heard from other bank fishermen that they absolutely killed them crappie last week when it was warmer. I think the crappie will be coming at full strength as soon as the weather warms up again.
