    Default High Rock 4/22/10

I decided to fish a little before work. Started out fishing brush and boo 12-22 feet deep. The bigger fish were deeper. Also trolled a little and caught most of them deep over 18-24 feet of water. All were caught on tubes and curl tails with most being caught on curltails. Final tally, 17 crappie and 1 cat. Kept 10 over 10'' with 5 being 13'' and over.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Way to go Nat. Were you trolling over where we were on Tuesday? Glad you got out and got bit too. Enjoy those fillets. I certainly plan to enjoy the ones we got. See you later.

Now that calls for a celebration!

Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

Those are nice size crappie, I am wondering why they are so deep, I have been catching them deeper than usual too it seems.

I love to fish deep for crappies year round. I think the trips to the shallows are just a temporary move and they quickly return to the more stable deep waters.
