Guns are like Pit Bulls. When treated properly the are sweet and cuddly. But, if they are handled with the intent of being mean they will bite.

I sold long guns and hand guns at a local hardware & sporting goods store for 14 years. The funniest thing I ever saw was a women came in and started down the isle were my display was. Apparently she didn't know we sold firearms, because when she saw the handguns laying in the display she freaked out and went running to the other side of the store saying that she didn't want to get shot. Those handguns never once rose up off the display shelf and starting taking pot-shots.
