Look like our Cleveland that line our driveway. Do they stink to high heaven?

I actually grafted on three of them yesterday. Put good fruit varieties on top and used the Bradford pear as the rootstock.

They are planted here on peoples property. Dad has had them for years and Ive never seen them spreading any. His driveway is lined with them at the entrance. Found out after awhile they have a life span of 15-20 years. His is all dying now. Looks like that will take another 5 years before they will have to go. That is going to be expensive grinding all those stumps.
