I just think it's funny everyone wants to complain about what other people like. Lots or most people hate Surf boats and while maybe not a fan they have as much right to the water as I do. I even Surfed a handful of times and it's a Blast! People hate jet skis but they are fun as heck and again legal so who am I to say they are bad?

I fished plenty of bass tourneys in the past, not so much anymore but if I wanted to keep the 5 fished I was weighing in (which was not very often ) to eat I could so again if you enjoy tourneys go for it!

It reminds me of fishing and when it would be cold and laughing at the people on the golf course but when I'm playing golf I laugh at the people fishing!

The complaint is how tournaments are negatively impacting the fishery. If someone wants to fish tournaments, great, but let's do it responsibility. Right now the tournament industry is highly irresponsible with some lakes seeing upwards of 500 a year. The Auburn University study was complaint driven, and the study validated the complaints. Way more bass die as a result of tournaments than fishermen keeping them to eat, and it's not even close. I hope Alabama goes through with this regulation it is much needed. Hey people like to drive fast but there's still a speed limit.
